Rails Is A Ghetto →
If you peel back the layers of childish ranting and chest thumping you find a lot of stuff that has increasingly concerned me about the rails community.
Contemplating what it means that code produced by a rails consultancy firm which has since moved to doing only “code review”, is, itself in heavy need of review.

Perl Lesson Learned Today
$ perl -le 'sub x { 1 }; print x + 1'
1
$ perl -le 'sub x() { 1 }; print x + 1'
2
Yikes. Scares me a little I didn’t know that. In case it’s not clear what’s going on in the first one, that’s getting evaluated as x(+1).
